Role Description

The Trading Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day trading activities, including coordinating purchase and sales orders, monitoring market trends, and maintaining accurate records of trade flows and commercial terms. The Trading Specialist will follow up with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery, compliance with specifications, and resolution of any operational issues. The role includes preparing and reviewing trade documentation, supporting price negotiations, and aligning deals with internal commercial strategies and risk guidelines. The Trading Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams across procurement, logistics, finance, and customer support to help build reliable, long-term trading relationships.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Trading and Commercial Management skills, including experience structuring international trade deals and managing commercial terms.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Support skills to interact effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Candidates should possess solid Following Up and relationship management skills to track orders, resolve issues, and maintain accountability across the supply chain.
  • Relevant experience in commodities, food trading, or international trade within the Middle East region is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP or trading systems, are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in trading and commercial operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make data-informed decisions, and uphold ethical and compliance standards in all trading activities.
